Stained glass with copper foil binding the glass, 24”x39”
Circle divided in five and ten parts and shapes around it. Note: I have this in a room facing East, when the sun rise and comes through, the glass glows with colors. Some of the pieces that look black above are a deep purple. Without any doubt, the used pattern is one that is derived from Islamic art.

Stained glass with copper foil binding the glass, 24”x17”
Circle divided in five and ten parts and shapes around it. Notes: There are two half circles, on the left and the right and a full circle in the center. Between them my eye sees two large triangles, each made of smaller individual parts. What I like about this work is that with the use of colors I direct the eye to create and see various shapes. The work has at least one ‘mistake,’ where I did not keep the pattern that I wanted, it does not bother me.

Play on the letters 'Liviu,' which are rotated around. The glass before being fired. You would not want to leave the glass as is because it would not permanently adhere to the base white glass it is on.

Glass shield done for my daughter who was attending Rice University at the time. The symbol of the university is three owls, in roughly the pattern depicted here.
Inspired by an African mask. I had seen a photo of an African mask which I liked and thought I'd do something like it. I added my own patterns ont he edge.

Diagram of relationships. This might look like mumbo jumbo, but it's based on an interesting diagram of relationships.

Purely abstract. I was just putting small pieces of glass around to see what I'd get.

Homage to Greek art. A few months after being fired, the piece cracked.
This is an art deco design.
Diagram of relationships. Look carefully at the shapes in red, they depict types of relationships.

Butterfly with geometric patterns. The temperature of the kiln was around 1475 degrees, Fahrenheit, which is higher than I normally want my glass. I want it a bit cooler so it is not smooth. If it is rough it catches light better.
